Absolutely outstanding. Heartbreakingly honest and profoundly relatable. The illustrations are gorgeous and well-placed. I appreciated the short, lighthearted, clever poems that were interspersed between the heavier, darker, and more traumatic poems. I could see that a great deal of thought and consideration went into the layout and order of this book. Gabbie’s personal essays at the end of the book were heart wrenching and well-written. She beautifully incorporates raw and real emotions into her words. Well done, Gabbie. You should be very proud of what you have created with this follow-up to your equally incredible debut.

This book although it was better than Gabbie's first book, Adultolescence, the poems were still pretty bland and suffered from the same bad writing qualities (no sense of rhythm, uses metaphors and then tells you what it literally means...). There were 4-5 poems that I actually really liked that had twists, nice imagery, rhythm, etc. 

When it comes to the illustrations I do think they improved quite a bit, but I'm not particularly a fan of some of the child like art style that appears sometimes. 

Overall it explores darker topics including suicide, sexual assault, eating disorders (just to name a few). At the end of the book, there are a few short essays talking about some of her life experiences. I found them to be pretty well written, they honestly made me empathize with her and made me shed a tear or two.
