I have decided to do a thing called 'short reviews' in which I will write short reviews about books that I read, that I still haven't written a full review about it. Because it has been a while, or because I just haven't had the time since I've read the book. But I did want to share with you the way I felt about the book, so here it is - the first short review! 

To be honest, I didn't think this book was as amazing as Dangerous Girls was. With that book, the ending left me BAFFLED and made me want to know what was going to happen next, but I didn't really have that with Dangerous Boys.

The book was very exciting, I loved the story and the difference between this book and DG (while Dangerous Girls was about a group of teenagers partying their asses off on Aruba, Dangerous Boys was about a mundane town where everyone knows everyone), and I also really liked how they were also a bit the same (view spoiler)[okay I wasn't really a fan of how both stories were about someone cheating on someone else and people ending up dead because of that, but hey what can you do about it? (hide spoiler)].

The writing of this book was just as good as Dangerous Girls, and it made me want to read on and on and on and on. But it was also a bit of a letdown. I had been expecting the police interrogations and interviews that were in Dangerous Girls, but this story was more like a story. Divided into two parts, 'Then', and 'Now'. The Then was telling the story of Chloe and the brothers, and how they met - and the Now was after the fire had happened.

I did find it very nerve wracking at some points, and I really did want to find out what had really happened, but I have to say I wasn't that surprised when I found out the truth. But yeah, even though the ending didn't leave me as baffled as DG's ending, it did make me want to know what was going to happen now - it made me do the 'OH DAMN' thing though. Because OH DAMN.

In the end, I enjoyed Dangerous Boys a lot, but nothing will really top the way I felt after finishing Dangerous Girls. Nothing.

           After finishing "Dangerous Girls" four years ago, I knew I needed to read as much as Abigail Haas as I could. When I discovered that she only had one other murder mystery, I bought it as quick as possible. Clearly, I lost track of time and only picked up the book now, but Haas' impact is just as strong now as it was four years ago.

I fell for Oliver the moment he entered the novel. While he turned out to be an actual psychopath, my lovey dovey feelings changed a bit, but he had so much charm that he literally convinced a girl to kill his brother. I can't even imagine allowing anyone to have that much control over me. As for Chloe herself, her character development amazes me. While the characters of Oliver and Ethan are filled with detail and depth, they don't change much in the novel. Oliver is always devious and dark, the reader just slowly learns this information as the book progresses. Ethan is always too kind and too handsome and too good. He doesn't change, he stays the same.
Don't get me wrong, the book does not need the boys to develop. The important and integral character development is through Chloe. We need to see her loose patience with her mother. We need to see how she begins to crave Oliver's darkness and resist the love coming from Ethan. She is falling into a dark place, and she is loving every moment of it.
I loved when Chloe talked about everyone living their own reality. While I hated her father, it is completely true that he believed he was doing the right thing. She believed he deserted her. They both have reasons to believe each side. 
But I hate the father so much.
All in all, this novel was a great companion to Dangerous Girls, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a book that will keep them on the edge of their seat.

ABIGAIL HASS IS PLAYING WITH MY MIND!
While Dangerous Girls was the best mystery thriller I've yet to read, this book is surely the most haunting and absolute book I have yet to read.It was not a mindblown.It was a mindfuck.I don't even know what's wrong or right anymore! But one thing I do know is that,damn,this author knows how to write a good book.

The writing style is raw,realistic and terrifying.I caught myself shaking at some specific scenes and reaching out the end of the book,I didn't want this book to end.I was scared of the ending.Scared of the truth.And I should have been afraid.I should have been very afraid.

This book despicts human morals and turn them into what they are : fears. There is a certain cruelty to this book that made my heart shiver.I am no good with morals or moral people.I have a thing for maniacs. But Dangerous Boys just took it on to a whole new level.

It doesn't matter what you expect from this book.It will still shock you.It will still surprise you in the best and worst ways possible.I won't say these characters are reliable.Uh-uh.No way.I'm not going to admit say this in a million years.But they are captivating and complex,they give you that utter fascination that you are craving with all of your heart.They are brilliant.In the worst of ways.And you will hate them.Because we are all moral.Aren't we?I mean...Yeah.

This book challanged me as a person,challanged my believes and hopes and when this happens,it's amazing.Scary,but amazing.So THANK YOU,Abigail Haas,thank you for proving me I am made for thrillers.Good thrillers at least.

Beautiful.Raw.Nail-bitting,this book delivers everything it promises and it stays with you long after you find the courage to finally close the book and look at the bright beautiful world outside.(or so would you think.)

3.5 stars. I absolutely love Abigail Haas's writing. Her psychological thrillers are utterly brilliant! Dangerous Girls is still one of the best physiological thrillers I have read this year (possibly ever!) I was so excited to get read this and enjoyed it a lot. The gripping style of writing forced me to read it in one sitting. I think I preferred Dangerous Girls but that's possibly because it almost prepared me slightly for what to expect with Dangerous Boys. Nonetheless, such a great book. I have a feeling I will be purchasing anything Abigail Haas releases in the future.
