Perfectly Flawed
Reviews

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Dani René! Oh. My. God. The. Feels. (Yes, all those periods were necessary) This story will take you on a wild angst-y ride. It will take the classic bad boy trope and spin it on it's head - quite literally (if ya know, ya know what I just did there). Ryder and his butterfly are one the most beautiful couples I've ever read. Their path is difficult and has many bumps in the road, but their story will captivate you. This is Dani René's first attempt at New Adult romance, and I have to say, it reads as if she's done this before. It's sweet and edgy all at once, and carries some great thought provoking messages about love. My favourite part of this story is the idea of perception. When you love someone, truly love someone, you see them as a whole, and you put them on a pedestal; not because you celebrate how perfect they are, but because you acknowledge their flaws and their strength to wear them on their sleeve around you for only you to see. You celebrate their bravery. And then there's the perception of the onlooker - of the person who either doesn't understand what is transgressing between these two beings and opposes it with all their might or completely understands and observes in awe at the beauty of it. Hence the title, Perfectly Flawed. René truly demonstrates her skill as a writer to be fluent in multiple genres. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
