4.5 stars I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Dani René! If you follow my reviews, you'll know that René is one of my go-to's. One of my staple authors. She writes sexy and captivating reads, time and time again. This one? Next. Fucking. Level. (Too bad I'll have to change that line for Amazon) You want suspense? You got it. You want drama? Check. You want angst? Check. You want darkness? Well, you've come to the right place. Not only is the story of the characters we follow dark, but it also shows glimpses of something beyond this book. And that's what grips you, really. The constant luring pulling you deeper and deeper into René's world. She is the master puppeteer and she holds all the strings to our hearts. There A LOT of twists and turns in this story, and I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so I'm gonna leave you with this... Not everything is as it seems. xx
