It's always dicey whenever I pick up a book and surprise! It ends up containing Politics About Iran - even more so when it's a book written from the POV of an Israeli spy ahahahaha 

Despite this - politics of the author and main character aside - this was a solid installment of the Gabriel Allon series! It had a little bit of everything, though I guess at the outset I was hoping for more of the classic art heist plot. Things are never simple or easy with Gabriel Allon though, so I'm not complaining. 

There are some writing tics that Daniel Silva has that bother me, but given that I'm coming at these books with the approach of "trash thriller" I never hesitate to just skim over and skip to the juicy bits. It's like watching The Two Towers and skipping through all the Frodo & Sam scenes...y'all do this I know...it's 500% more entertaining with 0 regrets.
