I've read a lot of Danielle Steel over the years because they are light reading, perfect to read a chapter when you get into bed. I liked the characters in this, and whilst the sub-plots were good, the idea that Chris who was from an old-school super rich family would rent a room in a house was just beyond belief. The same applies to the famous lady chef. Anyway that aside, I did enjoy it and let's be honest, we don't read DS to be surprised or shocked!
