My first Darcy Coates book and I absolutely loved it! It was a quick read for me and helped me take the first step to get over my reading slump after a year. The story itself started off creepy and continued for the most part until the end but I was pleased with the ending. The true scare factor of the book for me was in the three novellas at the very end. Each one was a short and scary story that was just perfect. I liked seeing those by Coates and wouldn’t mind stumbling onto more short stories if they’re similar to these!
