This is the first Dare book I have read by Carly Phillips and it was good! I have been a fan of hers for years, but have lost touch with her writing as she began doing this series of books (mainly because they were parts of collections or only on ebook) but this was a delight. She still writes about families with a believeabilty that is refreshing, and her situations are also grounded in a reality that is compelling. I am glad I took a chance on this story and I will probably read some of the others, (maybe skipping the whole super dominant male ones because alpha is one thing, but that isn't my cuppa) either way, so happy to have her stories again!

I personally liked Dare To Desire a whole lot more than I liked (or lack of it) Dare To Love. This story brings us the story of Alex Dare, Riley's best friend and Ian Dare's half brother. While reading Dare To Love, I enjoyed Alex more than Ian and Riley's relationship so I was very excited to dive into his story and I am so glad I did. The chemistry and sexual tension between Alex and Madison is so palpable, you can't get enough. Lovers of Carly Phillips' story will drink this story in one big gulp, without taking a breath of air. You will not regret reading this story. It does contain very minor spoilers of Dare To Love but not much so you can start with this story if you'd like. I honestly liked this one more.
