When I picked up this series I didn't know what to expect, I only knew that it's different from what I've read. And oh my I was positively surprised how good it is, how much I like the jokes and Charley's sarcasm and she's such a badass! This series just gets better and better . Great book definitely recommend it!

I actually enjoyed this book more than First Grave on the Right. While reading the first book in the series I had a hard time getting used to Charley Davidson being so much like Stephanie Plum but not actually being her. It seems I finally managed to get past this while reading Second Grave on the Left and am now enjoying the series a lot more. I still think Darynda Jones overdoes it with the sex scenes that add nothing to the story but that won't prevent me from reading the rest of the series:)

Meanwhile, Reyes, son of Satan is trying to kill his corporeal body, and Charley can't let that happen. Busy, busy, busy! Also, did I mention that it seems to be Kill Charley week? This is such a fun series. I love books like these with humor, action, grim reapers and coffee!!

Hes left his body because hes being tortured by demons who want to lure Charley closer. But Reyes cant let that happen. Because if the demons get to Charley, theyll have a portal to heaven. And if they have a portal to heavenwell, lets just say it wouldnt be pretty. Can Charley handle hot nights with Reyes and even hotter days tracking down a missing woman? Will Cookie ever get a true fashion sense? And is there enough coffee and chocolate in the world to fuel them as they do?

After reading the first book in the series I immediately picked up this one, I was not disappointed! The character Charley just keeps getting funnier. Her quick-wit and sharp tongue gets her into trouble, but that doesn't stop her at all. She does her job, and does it well! I can't wait to see what happens next for Charley, and her crush on Reyes is even more reason to see what happens next!

I have very much enjoyed this book. It is one I didn’t want to put down but unfortunately life has been crazy so couldn’t read as long as I wanted so had to read this just a bit at a time. 

I can’t wait to read the next book.
