This was a fantastic series start, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here! A lot of the magical elements felt unique, and I am positively obsessed with Max.

C'était trop trop bien !! Le système de magie est original et bien fait. C'est sombre, c'est adulte, c'est addictif. Même si parfois l'anglais est rude, l'histoire était tellement bien que ça donnait envie d'aller au bout.

4,5 it was captivating. I was hooked from the beginning. The writing was beautiful , the world building was amazing. I love the characters. Tisaanah is and absolute queen, shes strong, and i loved her thinking. The romance was real slow burn, and i loved it so much. The magic system, the plot, the story was unique and interesting. Again CAPTIVATING.

“You can do it even if I can’t. It’s easy to die for someone, but it is so much more valuable to live. I do not give you permission to fail if I fail." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow - I am in love - this was everything I have been looking for in a fantasy novel. It has action, angst, slow burn romance that actually made sense to the story line and wasn't just a trope to be able to include some spice, it has likable interesting, diverse characters and strong FMC who isn't afraid to go after the power she needs to be able to do what she needs to do (just hoping this isn't another one where she loses her power to settle down with the love interest 🤞). “Men want power because it makes them feel good. Women want power because it lets us do things." The story begins with Tisaanah who is a slave for a brothel like establishment, she was taken from her family during war times and has a special powers as she is Fragmented, half Valtain (magic relating to the moon). I really liked Tisaanah's character, she was interesting and fun. I do think there was room for a lot of growth for her though, I found the progress of her character development a little bit one dimensional. It seemed like she had her set intentions from the start and her way was the right way no matter what anyone said to her, I didn't really see her change too much with the influence of Max and I think there was room for her to have that happen. Max, oh Max - what a beautiful man, I think he might be my new favourite love interest/MMC - I loved almost everything about him, his attitude and cynicism was understandable and realistic, and the fact that he could still find love after everything he had been through was so touching. I did find his character very "female gaze" and I often get put off by female authors who write men too perfectly, too much like a female character but just as a man because it just doesn't seem realistic. But I do think Max's personality works in this story, due to the inhumanity in the events he'd been a part of, how they softened & sculpted him to be become man he is now because of them. “I could be made for this.” Maybe I could, too. Made, or unmade. In that moment, I didn’t care which. The magic system in Daughter of No Worlds was good, I think it needed a bit more explanation into where the "layers of magic" came from and how it works as it just seemed to be there rather than incorporated completely into the world building. I wished there was a bit more description about the world, the Orders and the source of power. The twist in Part 2 of the novel was fantastic, once you start to unravel what happened to Max, plus seeing the story from his POV too, and what is now happening to Tisaanah, the story really started to pick up and it was just stunning! If I become lost, I will never be found again. Overall, I think this is an amazing novel and would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves the Throne of Glass or From Blood and Ash series, personally I think it is miles better than both. This is great New Adult book with characters who feel age appropriate for a reader like me who is in their 30's and a really easy to follow story line that doesn't get too bogged down in the nitty gritty "high fantasy" jargon & pretense. I am already started book two and I am so excited to see where this goes!

It wasn't necessarily bad I really loved it in the beginning but towards the end it got a bit boring for me and I couldn't start the second book
