a lot of di cesare's analysis is illuminating but i'm disappointed in (though unsurprised at) her lack of engagement with disability politics and the predictable neoliberal capitalist reaction to the pandemic squeeze: a total disavowal of the ongoing status of the pandemic coupled with the meteoric rise in fascist political ethics imagined as necessary to preserve immunitarian "democracy" for the eligible (mass death of the vulnerable accepted as the price of return to "normality," etc), developments that were easily foreseen at the time of the text's writing
