I enjoyed this as a more modern SF novel than I normally read (usually stuff that predates the Internet), with cyberpunk elements that seem closer to the fantasies of today people can hack over wireless connections! but the geopolitical plot twisting and double-crosses seemed like crutches, not essential parts of a good story. Still, will likely read the next one in the trilogy.
