David M. Allen discusses Hebrews' use of the narrative and text of Deueteronomy to shape its exhortations. By engaging with the various references that Hebrews make to the Deuteronomic text, he argues tht Hebrews becomes a "new" Deuteronomy and challenges its predecessor's contemporary hegemony.
