Homeless in Vegas
After being wrongly convicted of manslaughter and spending eleven years in state prison, Carl Avery, rejected by society, finds himself homeless, alone, and battling the scourge of street life. But for his friendship with a stray dog, his likely end would have been suicide. Hoping for a new and better life, he and his dog travel cross country to Las Vegas. There, wallowing in homeless shelters and shanties, he finds surprising adventure, and, more surprising, a rare and special romance.
