Rapture

Zander Wiles, small-time drug dealer, is terrified when he starts getting strange cravings and ridges down his back. Then his feet turn green and he knows he's caught some awful virus. And he has. A new virus is stalking America: Angelism. It doesn't kill you; instead you grow wings. Zander is the first Angel to go public, but from celebrity he quickly turns to a pariah, and his experiences leave him bitter, alone, and grounded. The new race has given birth to a new form of racism. There are those who look like angels - but certainly don't feel like them - and those left behind, wing- free. One group plays tag with seagulls, while the other fears Angelism, or hopes to catch the virus themselves, by biting Angels. Who will fly and who will falter?
