I don't do this very often but I stopped reading this novel because I think that I have read it before. It came out in 2003 and that is likely when I read it. When I saw the cover I had a feeling that I had read it before, but reading through the beginning *almost* felt new until I came to the child character Fric. It's hard not to forget Fric. It's a very unusual name and his story is interesting and well written out. I considered continuing to read but honestly there are so many books in the world waiting for me to pick them up that I think I will pass. I will leave with this thought: I did enjoy the book the first time around, and so will you.
