I am officially HOOKED. This manga series is just so SMART and cunning and twisted. I never know what’s going to happen or what direction it’s going to take next. I just love it! Already jumping into vol. 3!

The art in this manga was absolutely gorgeous, the plot was absolutely mind-blowing and brilliant. Light is such an interesting and complex main character, he truly captures the reader and makes you want to read more and more of the story. It has been awhile since I have read a book where the main character has peaked my interest as much as light has.
I don't even know where to begin with this, the story line is rich and tasteful and characters really standout to me. I cannot help but love this manga, it's extremely addictive and probably one of the best psychological thriller there is.

I loved the anime but personally the manga was hard to get through. I really enjoyed hearing the internal dialogue in the anime and well hearing and reading have different effects. However the books look sick asf so I’ll buy and read all of them. Also I feel like it’s a staple piece like everyone knows death note. Also it’s pretty damn good so overall enjoyable but certain parts drag on
It drags on. I’ve already seen the anime and it feels boring to be reading it. Great artwork though. I’ll continue buying them but it’s kinda hard to get through them
what! this is getting intense, like we’re meeting more shinigami and there’s more obstacles for light and i’m really curious to see how he can succeed, will kira really win? will light actually fall in love? i wanted him to, but honestly he’s only got world domination on his mind so....
the fact that he planned for this to happen baffles me. i’m not that smart, i’m barely keeping up with what’s happening!

This one was very convoluted in some parts towards the middle, but the end! Sooo good! I couldn’t sit still reading those last couple scenes!

2019: I love this series so much! I just hate the way Light treats Misa. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Also.... I LOVE L SO MUCH!!!! 2020: I still feel the same way.
