Defenseless Hearts

This one was definitely the better book out of the two. I was very intrigued by the plot of this book and this one was a little bit deeper with some darker topics. This is also the book that gave me all the information that makes the beginning of Say You Swear makes sense. I did like the characters more and was rooting for them as a couple and overall liked this book and making me excited to read more of Meagan’s backlist.

If you haven't already known, I loved "Fumbled Hearts" and when Parker was introduced, I fell in love with Parker and his relationship with Lolli. Friendship goals, need I say more?! And since then, I've always wanted to have a glimpse of his story and was hoping for him to find his happy ever after. The author delievered that with this installment. Unfortunately it just didn't do much for me and found myself skimming through the pages. Parker is a great character but it was hard to envisioned him with Kendra who is the usual the heroine I defer from. The only plus side of this novel was that we got to catch up with Kalani and Nate (OTP). Overall this just wasn't my cup of tea and hoping the future editions will suit more of my tastes.
