This thing Disney is doing right now, getting terrific sff writers to write SW novels, is a thing I like a LOT. Whether you've read her as Delilah S. Dawson or Lila Bowen, Dawson is always an excellent writer. And that's what you need to take a premise that's basically "let's advertise the setting for the Disney SW park" and make it a cool book. Vi is an excellent protagonist, and she's surrounded by a solid cast of characters. The story is straight forward, but it works well. I dug it. 

I'm also always very happy for a bit of ace representation. Especially when the ace character in question is a space spy.

I really loved this book. I love how well it mixes with Galaxy's Edge in Disney World and having the experiences actually being in the places mentioned in this story. This book feels very Star Wars and fits really well into the rest of canon material. The moments that involve Leia were amazing and sounded perfect. This book had a lot going on but not too much to be overwhelming. There was a lot of relationship development in this story which I found charming and really nice. I think the ending was good and left just enough ends open to keep batuu relevent but not leave too much open.
