This book was ok
It was like reading the first book in reverse order 
Rachel and logan are separated and both are trying to save each other and their followers 
For the first time ever i love and get excited about the male character decisions ,situations, pov more the the female character
Rachel is boring and is living in her mind
Logan have faced in point of view more loss than rachel
Rachel lost her dad and grandpa 
But logan has been suffering since he was kid
Seeing his supposed to be mother get killed 
Being an outsider
Finding that he was kidnapped from his real parents 
His brother is after him
People under his leadership died because of his stupid brother 
On another note I think Ian's character development was pretty good in this book 
The epilogue was cute
And logan and rachel's reunion was great too took me back to the cuteness of the first book

This one was filled with a lot of emotional scenes and plenty of schemming and action. For most of the story, Rachel and Logan were apart, which even though it was hard on my romantic reader heart, I grudgingnly accepted because it gave room for a lot of character development on each side.

This series was overall fun and interesting. And the plot twists, while mildly predictable, were on point :) 

This story is significant to me in that it handles grief, loss, guilt, and self-hatred, and overcoming them all, incredibly well. The main characters are maimed, tortured, beaten, and spend most of the books bleeding but do it all for their cause and the people they love. They transform over the course of the series, growing up and maturing right before the reader's eyes, and it made Rachel and Logan and Willow and Quinn and everyone else feel like they could have been real people. I could draw real-world parallels in many of the situations. Although I'm sure plenty happened "Just because the author said so", it didn't really FEEL that way. It felt like human beings were driving the plot forward, which is exactly how I like my books.

But the final confrontations were... lackluster. If you've read it, you might know what I mean. I wanted more closure there at the end, and I felt slightly cheated when it didn't meet the expectations all three books had built up. 

Also, I was really hoping for more of the wasteland. While they were in the wasteland a lot, we never really got a good picture besides trees. If it's post-apocalyptic, this would have been an excellent opportunity to construct a rough timeline and connect their world with ours. This is the one failing I think the book consistently had. You could argue that the lack of finale was acceptable in light of the events that had led up to it, but there's no reason not to have fleshed out the wasteland a bit more. 

Overall, it was a fun, bloody, gruesome romance. Not much not to like there.
