I pretty much figured out the plot from other books I've read... Chatham Affair, Cereus Blooms at Night and xxxHolic (the hydrangea chapter). Entertaining nonetheless.

** spoiler alert **
           I really liked this one! The case was definitely on the darker side with a ghost by the name of hatchet jack chasing kids with a hatchet and scaring them half to death. Turns out when this guy was alive he very well could have been a serial killer. 
 When M.J's best friend comes to her with a case involving her neice M.J takes the case right away. 
When M.J, Gilly and Steven arrive and start asking questions anyone who could possibly know anything about Jack lies about it. 
They had to dig pretty deep, and turn a skeptic cop into a believer to figure this one out. 
Each new piece of information kept you guessing while also keeping the story moving. 
I think the only thing I would have liked was to see M.J moving a child ghost to the other side and delivering the message she got from his mom. Definitely high 4 stars. Can't wait to dive in to the next one, and im requesting the rest of the series from the library! .
