I was so excited to get back into the Dokiri Brides series! I really enjoyed Hollen the Soulless and this book was even better! Tysha is such an amazing female character. Her old husband sells her as a whore, but she escapes and ends up saving Erik, who had been half heartedly looking for a bride. He does not expect Tysha, the most lovely woman he has ever laid eyes on. He knows that nothing can come out of this, for once there year is up, he has to say goodbye. Erik has a secret. One that could change everything for him and in order to keep his place amongst his people, he can't marry or have children. But the two grow closer each passing day and saying no is getting harder. Both desperately want the other. I loved the tension in this book and I love the relationship between Erik and Tysha. They were so perfectly matched and Tysha excelled amongst her new people. You also get to see Hollen and Jocelyn and the birth of their son. Highly recommend!
