gory, very violent, even though pertinent to the story, and perhaps even to Patrick and Angie's evolution as human beings. But some of the descriptions of the crimes and crime scenes were hard to read, sitting in my living room with my kids playing and laughing - I could look up over the top of my laptop screen where the violence and horror was been laid out and see their beautiful, smiling faces and hear their laughter. <br />But I like Dennis Lehane's view of human nature and the struggles of living; of Patrick and Angie's observations and reactions. I read Gone, Baby, Gone before I went back and started Lehane's Kenzie/Gennaro series, and I'm so interested in tracking his protagonists' growth and change.
