This review is not going to be useful to anyone because I am entirely biased. The Skulduggery Pleasant series is my Harry Potter. Derek Landy can do no wrong when it comes to writing these adventures in my opinion. These books have been with me for 16 years and even now, as a full 26 year old woman, I stayed up through the night to finish this out of sheer excitement. I cried multiple times, I laughed, I was surprised and I was sad when it was over. It was the perfect romp to end the second (but hopefully not last) cycle of Pleasant/Cain pandemonium.

As a sidenote, I also immediately cried upon receiving the hardback as the neon orange sprayed edges threw me a violent wave of nostalgia: being a 10 year old with a world book day token in her local Eason's, fresh off of clearing out her school's book fair with no idea what to buy until a paperback with neon orange sprayed edges and a skull in a fedora on the cover caught her eye. The minute Until the End landed in my hands, I could swear I was 10 again.
