An interesting inside view of how the elite power base in the CCP work. The author decided to tell all, but avoided major events like Tianamen square, Xighurs etc. Plus he conveniently omitted that he and his wife probably committed crimes by way of corruption. But that aside it shows the corruption in the upper echelons of power in China. Beyond that is the power they wield to jail, or "disappear" people at will.

Recommended as a good read in the same vein as "Red Notice" by Bill Browder
