Desolate
Reviews

I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Autumn Grey! Ouuuf! What a book. This is one angst-y ride, let me tell you. It’s both sinful and innocent, complicated and pure. This story will affect you in different ways than other romance books. It is beyond original. My most favourite part of this novel is the literary language. Like, wow! The metaphors, the characters’ names, the comparisons, just everything was ON POINT. There are so many passages where I just sat there re-read them three times to fully appreciate them. There are some heavy subject in this story, giving it a serious undertone. If you’re looking for fluffy, this isn’t it. This book is raw and honest. It’s truthful and about self-affirmation. About expectation and promises, following one’s dreams, and how all these may not be complementary. This was my first Autumn Grey book, and is definitely will not be my last. She has talent and great flow. Her words just follow one another effortlessly, and it’s impressive to read.
