Rina Kent

The villain isn't supposed to be king. I have a simple plan. Finish Royal Elite School and get into my dream university. One glance from the school’s king blows my plan up in smoke. One glance and he suffocates my air. One glance and he issues his death sentence. His first words spiral my life into irreparable chaos. “I will destroy you.”

They say it doesn’t take long for your life to be flipped upside down.

A moment. A second. And it’s all over. I should’ve known.

If I had, I would’ve done things differently.

Maybe I would’ve walked the other way. Maybe my tale wouldn’t have ended the way it did.

But the thing about ‘maybes’? They’re useless.

Boys don’t interest me. I’m too nerdy for that and my studies always came above any boy drama.

Not even ten pages in and she literally did nothing? Wtf😃 They never met, talked or even breathed near each other what could she have possibly done to make him this aggressive lol

He leans forward so his mouth hovers inches away from mine and growls. “I will destroy you.” Those words seal my fate.

Thanks for reminding me why I hate bully romances😶 he's already gone too far fro forgiveness but please go ahead and dig yourself a deeper grave

“You said you’ll report me for sexual harassment.”

“It’s your lucky day. I’m making the report come true.”

“You… can’t be serious?” My voice cracks.

I lift my knee and hit him in the crotch. Hard. As hard as I can.

His face contorts and his hands shoot out for me, but I duck and run past him.

If you said anything other than yes than it IS a violation😶

Every fibre of my logic is willing me to hate this, to consider it a violation, but… is it a violation if I want him to reach up? Is it a violation if his dirty words are causing an uncontrollable throb between my legs?

"If I choose to, I’ll threaten everything you love and you’ll have no choice but to fall at my feet.”

“Elliiie.” She grins, and it’s surprisingly charming considering that she’s drunk. “Let’s commit

“Seriously, I’m tired of being left in the dark. Why doesn’t anyone tell me anything around here?”

“Because you have a big mouth?”Cole says.

“Yeah, you do.” Everyone at the table agrees.

Ronan launches into a long argument about all the secrets he kept for them —by spilling them.

I still don't like him but that's... something

(He should know his self-worth tho he seems a bit desperate lol)

“What will you do if I somehow cheat?” I’m treading into a dangerous territory, but curiosity gets the better of me.

He cups my jaw with false tenderness. “That’s the difference between you and me, sweetheart. You’d leave me in a heartbeat if I cheat, but I’ll never leave you even if you cheat.”

Honestly loved it, but have a hard time with bully romances when i feel like the FMC gets pushed over ALL THE TIME.

I… I don’t even know what to say… This book was absolutely terrible and I wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy.

Where do I even start? The sexual abuse? The bullying? The cringy quotes LMAO

“My white-ish blonde hair falls in a fluffy ponytail down my back. I went out of my way by applying a bit of makeup. The mascara enhances my eyelashes and brings out my baby blue eyes. I even put on Aunt’s Nina Ricci perfume.” Oh okay Y/N!

“He leans forward so his mouth hovers inches away from mine and growls. “I will destroy you.” OH MY GOD THIS CANT BE REAL

“They’re the elite of the elite.” Her voice trembles, genuinely, it trembles.” ah yes the mean boys at school trope

“But you’re not a Goddess, you’re Frozen.” LMFAOOO

This is literally a wattpad book and it’s not worth it at all I just wasted my time reading this.

Still reading the second one though

it was very interesting and intriguing especially the plot/plot twist, i liked it a lot, i couldn't put the book down.
i was definitely not expecting that twist on the end in a certain way bc i had my theories but i was not expecting THAT and the cliffhanger agh- i'm literally just passing here to write this and i am going to start the next book now.

(i kinda feel nostalgic in a certain way reading this bc it makes me remember devil's night, i honestly can connect their characters)

elsa and aiden agh damm loved them istg-
it was kinda wild but i definitely enjoyed their characters, also my girl kim is my fav istg- i love her so so so much.

- "Xander Knight. Cole Nash. Ronan Astor. Aiden King. The four horsemen of RES."

- "Do you know why, sweetheart?"(...) "Because you were always mine. You just didn't know it yet."

- "I love kissing you." "Your lips were made for me, sweetheart.""Everything about you was made for me."

- "Aiden has been bringing my special food every day. How he made sure we're seen in the halls together so no one bullies me anymore. How he brings me water after practice. How he watches me with that concern when I'm running as if he knows my heart isn't doing so well."

- "I'm trying to get to you.""I'm really trying to be fucking nice here, but if you keep hiding in that ice castle, I'll have no choice but to conquer."

- "Are you playing another mind game?"
"Are you, Elsa? Because I was never supposed to like you this much. Hell. I wasn't supposed to think about you more than I think of myself."

- "Since the beginning, he's always looked at me differently like we're connected. Like he knows me better than anyone else. And maybe, just maybe, I wanted to know him better than anyone, too."

- "That's the difference between you and me, sweetheart. You'd leave me in a heartbeat if I cheat, but I'll never leave you even if you cheat "

- "Aiden just took a scary place and turned it into a happy place."

i'm gonna write the review along with steel princess because i'm way too lazy to write the review twice.

THIS MAN IS LITERALLY THE MENACE OF SOCIETY.. he's just plain careless for what he did actually should be considered as harassment. elsa's way too strong for the strength she spent on keeping up with aiden, he's literally just do what he likes and like j said, plain careless. HAHAHA.

his obsession and possessiveness on the other hand, if i were elsa, i'd slit my throat in front of him to drive him crazy because HOW COULD SHE BE OK WITH THAT AND NOT TURNING CRAZY. that motherfucker literally would kill a space if its being stepped by elsa way too much???

Lover of Romance

Deviant King is the first book in the trilogy that features this couple, but is technically book 2 in the series. This book is Aiden King and Elsa Quinn. I have to say I don't know what magic this author uses but this bully romance was just catnip, complex and I just couldn't seem to get enough of this one here. I absolutely devoured this book here. There is LOTS of angst, just warning y'all ahead of time. But somehow this author made it work for me. And all the dramatics, I was here for it though. And I normally don't do YA settings, but I loved it here. There is a lot of confusion on why Aiden treats Elsa the way she does, and you really need to read the whole trilogy to get the background on it, but whew he is intense. I adored our heroine, she is a badass. She stands on her own and is so delightful! I love that she is a fighter, and is willing to stand up to her bullies, no matter how they demean her, she has such a strong spirit and is a fighter and just what he needs to tone him down as he has such a fierce strong personality, but frankly, blame it on his dad haha

I swept through Deviant King so quickly, and it was such an addictive read. Just make sure you have books 2 and 3 handy, as it does end with a cliffhanger. But its well done, but yeah its a doozie. Just fair warning on it. I really enjoyed the friendships and I am really curioius about Xander's story for sure, there is so much history for his story I bet.

Why did I read this book despite warning from other reviewers about Sexual Assault being involved! I like the way Rina writes. Its amazing the way she spins the web of story and I would have definitely loved this book on a like 4-4.5 star rating. But the multiple SA scene just brought this down so so low.

I might try her other books though! She is honestly great at writing. Just the SA part really sucked!
