This was a quick way to begin the series and makes me so excited to jump into the series. This was a fun introduction to the series and while I thought it had to do with a character that is part of the Eden family it wasn’t but this was kind of refreshing this way. This was a way to introduce you to the characters and get to know the setting and I’m already anticipating a cozy, entertaining series ahead.

4.5! Nice introduction to the series! It was cute!!

There's a bit of miscommunication that I'm not fond of and the ending felt rushed but nonetheless, it was fun and entertaining. 

It's the prequels to the Edens series so I guess its main purpose is to introduce the Eden siblings and boy, I'm ready to dive into the series, specially Knox's book.

Very cute short prequel to The Edens series although it was very rushed. I think I’m going to really enjoy this series!

Fue una novela linda, pero en sí hay muy poco de los Eden, esperaba que se involucraran más para conocerlos pero no.

Igual Cleo y Austin son muy lindos juntos, medio que tenía ganas de golpear a Austin por tratar mal a Cleo solo porque le gustaba, pero me alegra que recapacitara. Me hubiera gustado que se arrastrara por su perdón pero bueh.

This was a Christmas novella that kicks off Devney Perry’s new series, the eden’s. Cleo escapes her life in California to spend christmas in Quincy, Montana, alone and away from her over the top family. Unfortunately, her dad immediately sends his head of security after her. Austin tries his best to drag Cleo home, but she puts up a fight and he eventually decides to stay and look out for her there. This takes place in the town’s famous hotel, The Eloise, owned by the Edens. So now Austin is stuck in the hotel with Cleo, and what do ya know, there aren’t any extra rooms available. Austin has never been very nice to Cleo, bc - shocker - he’s had feelings for her for years. Cleo has had a crush on Austin since the day they met, but she’s convinced he hates her. When they’re forced to spend time together and talk things out, the tension between them finally breaks. 

This was a super short read, and another perfect novella to get you in the holiday spirit. Was it tooth-achingly sweet and cheesy at the end? yes. did i love every minute of it? also YES. speaking of toothaches, our girl Cleo here is a baker, and while this novella is short, the list of delicious sounding baked goods in this book was not. I was warned not to read this while i was hungry, and i should’ve listened.

This was a quick and sweet read! It was a nice introduction to the edens series—which I actually read before this🤣

It was a short story so obviously things happen more on the quicker side, but I did appreciate that the author didn’t just throw them together right off the bat and did drag it out a little before anything happened. It gave Austin and Cleo much more tension! 

I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending. It was very cute but it just felt too rushed and suddenly he didn’t care about losing his job…even though that’s the whole reason he had tried avoiding her for years. But it was a cute fluffy HEA!
