So I won’t lie I am writing these reviews after finishing the series. So I can safely say that this is my least favorite in the series.  I have many thoughts when it comes to this one. I think the concept of this series was very interesting. I know of the show Sons of Anarchy so I was intrigued to see how many people say this was related. I liked the characters and seeing the storyline arc that would play throughout several and for some all of the books would be interesting. But here is where I say this is the only Devney Perry book I have experienced this with and hope that it will be the only one it happens in. And where I say spoiler warning ahead. The pregnancy plot reveal hurt my reading experience more than anything. I didn’t feel the real, genuine love between the characters, but towards the end they had nothing to really keep them together so we throw in a “I’m pregnant” and the MMC realizes he has to be with her. So to be honest the suspense was the highlight of this book and really what kept me going in this one because honestly this couple was not it for me.

I really liked both Dash and Bryce as characters. I did think the story moved a little too fast though. Overall, it was a good story that made me want to keep reading the series.

Not gonna lie, it did take me a little bit to get into this one, but I don’t think it was the book’s fault. Maybe more of a me thing. Regardless, once I was in it - that was it! I absolutely loved it. 

I’m really enjoying reading Devney Perry’s books as I’m trying to make my way through them. She does such a good job at writing great romance, but also kills it with the element of suspense. I was hooked on the murder mystery subplot the entire time and I can’t wait to read the next one since there’s still so many questions that need answers??

All the tropes in this book were done so well and I ate them all up lmao. 

We also got a lot of sweet moments in this one. Dash folding Bryce’s laundry for her? Love it. Dash washing Bryce’s hair? Yes, more please. 

Very excited to eventually continue this series!

this is the perfect example of a book that would probably just me 3,5 stars, however, the last 30% really made up for it, so i’m rounding up to 4 stars. 
here’s the thing: the beginning felt really slow - for a 270 pages book, specially. 
the characters and premise are lovely and all of that, but at first it just felt really slow. 
But then we hit that 70% mark and boom finally! 
overall, it is a nice read and I enjoyed the mystery! 
I will be continuing with this series and hopefully unfold all the secrets and questions left unanswered in this one
