I was a little nervous about jumping into this book since I hadn't read the first one, but it was a pretty great experience! While there are references to the first volume I didn't find it necessary to have read it first (I didn't). The stories are fun, and I like the set up of smaller ghost stories within the larger story. There's lots of references to Haunted Mansion lore and facts. It would be a great read for any kid who is into Disney, the Haunted Mansion, or just ghost stories in general. Thanks to NetGalley and Disney for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
