Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb was a very interesting follow up to The Girl in 6E. After killing the pedophile in the last book, Deanna is feeling more and more adventurous. In this book, she buys a car and falls in love, but her life is filled with complications that may never allow her to have a normal life. Deanna is a tough character to like, and these books about her are hard to read, but Torre has made her someone to root for. I can't say I feel good after reading these books about Deanna, but I can't stop reading them either. According to an author's note at the end of this book, Torre made some plot choices that she wasn't sure about, but if she hadn't made those choices, I don't believe that I could have continued to root for Deanna and want to read more about her. Definitely a dark story that would not be for everyone, but very well written and well worth the read.

This is the 2nd book in the series. Mike played a bigger part in this story, Deanna’s hacker, I really like him. I hope he hangs around in book 3. I liked this one as much or even a little more than book one.

I am a HUGE fan of this author. I love her writing style. I love that her books are unpredictable. I love going into her books blind - she's going to take me for a ride. I have no idea where I'm going but I know it's going to be intense! Ms. Torre didn’t disappoint with the second book in the Deanna Madden series. Deanna is damaged. After having witnessed the horrifying murders of her family, something inside her broke and she now has this insatiable desire to kill. This book kept me on the edge of my seat ... Many POV's .... many twist and turns... I cannot wait to read book 3 and see what Alessandra has in store for us readers!
