I usually find Jon’s writing very good, and regarding his writing form here, it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a pretty easy read and a somewhat comedic approach to an important subject such as a Do Over. It is pretty good at giving general advice, but that is precisely the issue I have with it. It doesn’t mention how to go through a do-over. Instead, it provides general career advice, which is fine, if that was what I expected. I’m not saying it’s a bad book, and I genuinely enjoyed reading it. So yes, I can recommend this. It helps give helpful advice when transitioning—some more in-depth description of what an actual do-over would have been nice. I like the concept of a career savings account, which for my personal Do Over has helped me, although my Do Over came before reading this book. Still, before changing careers in life, the information in this book can help you make the transition—overall, three out of five stars.
