This book got intense, much more than I expected, very quickly. Napoli managed to keep this narrative from getting weird (my problem with some of her other books) as well as in an age-appropriate voice.
I'm glad that this was a book that I could read easily in one sitting. I don't think I would have wanted to put it down part-way through.
I have several questions that I would love to know the answers to, questions that I think that Napoli should have answered for sure. (I won't list them here because all of them have the potential to be major spoilers.)
I definitely recommend this book.
