"Damned" did not need a sequel. Wasn't my favorite work by Palahniuk. Felt like maybe he was trying too hard with this one? I mean there was just way too much use of the word "ca-ca" in one part, and I thought "What on earth am I reading?"

Continues the afterlife adventures of Madison Spencer, who wanders Earth as a ghostly spirit in search of her do-gooding parents while fighting the influence of Satan and confronting her destiny on a continent known as Madlantis.

Extremely slow read, didn’t find myself wanting to pick it up. Finished it only because I started. Learning about more of Madison’s history while she was alive and giving a bit more information about what we learned at the end of “Damned”, was interesting, but still feels like an unnecessary drawing out of the story. Could have been compiled into one stand alone. Don’t think I will be picking up the third book if Palahniuk ever decides to release it.

Didn’t finish this. I don’t like to waste my energy on books that don’t do anything for me. Got about half way through, didn’t want to go any further.
