A beautifully written, intimate and ultimately fascinating glimpse into the extraordinary and inspirng life of Dorothy Day. More of a memoir than an autobiography (she omits discussing a couple key relationships prior to her conversion and only goes as far as the early 50's, while she died in the early 80's), this really helped me understand her life and thought. Would recommend reading another introduction alongside (such as Dorothy Day for Armchair Theologians ) to fill in the details. Sometimes went off on down rabbit trails I didn't find all that interesting or relatable, hence the 3 stars (more like 3.5) than 4.
