This 2012ish book is bit dated considering the times, but was an interesting follow-up to Immune. It is written very matter of factly which leads to being very dense. I can't say I retained a whole lot, but was helpful in improving the vocabulary.

One thing the book misses, which arguably nobody saw coming, was how perverse the vaccine skepticism has been around the world. The book takes the simplistic approach that availability of vaccine means people will take it and developing countries are what needs the most attention. We now know from experience that isn't the case.

In summary, an interesting perspective on viruses from a "much simpler time"
