My students couldn't get enough of this and the whole series is being borrowed all the time. Me? I appreciated that they liked it and really want to find more books with these subjects at this reading level. Even for a bit younger students? 
Also, I cringed at times with some of the subtle stereotypes ("his MOM's utility closet"?!).
