Great, straight to the point; highlighted good parts to remember when working with JS; however, wouldn't recommend the book if you're beginning JS. But definitely a book to study, especially if you really want to deeply understand and "grok" the language. I find myself often going back to the book, reviewing points, a definite "must have".

Knowing a book has the author's opinion on things, and having the knowledge to abstract that when reading, this book is amazing.

Sometimes less is more. This book is not a complete, exhaustive language guide but a condensed compilation of the good and bad parts of this hodge-podge that Javascript is.

Parts of the book are outdated or incorrect with the rebirth of the ECMAScript receiving standard updates, but is still a very good book to read for a baseline understanding of JavaScript. Ironically, although the book is specifically titled “The Good Parts”, it’s coverage of the bad parts of the language is likely its strongest legacy as the language continues to mature.
