It's one of the first books about ADD what is called now ADHD, it's so informative and must read to anyone who's interested in reading and himself/herself is an ADHD or has someone in the family diagnosed with ADHD, As Dr Hallowell mentioned in the book, education about ADHD for the patient himself/herself is a must and make it easier for the patient and his/her family to deal with it. At the end I like to mention that ch.8 was the most informative and practical part, the first chapters were like a stories by the patients themselves, it was funny at some parts and glemming at anothers, I could relate to some of it and that was the best part, if u r an ADHD u will enjoy this book and find it informative too.

Very helpful for me, however for a book about ADD for ADD ppl, why are there so many stories and explanations that circle the point/lessons but don't really get to the meat until late in the book!? haha I found myself zoning out a lot and wishing there were more meat and less story, but still very helpful.

An informative book about a consistently misunderstood disorder Driven To Distraction is an important book about a consistently misunderstood disorder and helps to explain exactly what ADD is as well as offering ways which can help in managing it effectively. I recommend reading it, even if you don't know anyone who has it or even have it yourself.
