as usual the narration is flawless. The plot is engaging, and the team is amazing as usual.

A possible suicide draws DI Kim Stone and her partner to Heathcrest prep school, but it isn't long before it's clear that the clues add up to murder. Meanwhile, another death on the campus ensures that Kim and her team will be on the case. A long secret society based on playing cards leads Kim's colleagues to the underbelly of the prep school's current students as well as those in the past. However disturbing it might be, Kim suspects that one of the students is a killer, but to find out if that might be possible, Kim goes to visit her old nemesis Dr. Alex Thorne in prison.

Dying Truth is full of twists and turns that lead Kim's team on a merry chase. By the end of the book, the clues start to fit together, but then there is a tragedy that will affect every member of Kim's team. As usual with the Kim Stone series, the mystery is clever and well paced. While not as intense a psychological thriller as the last couple of books in the series, the ending however, is disturbing and difficult to swallow. Overall, Dying Truth is another good installment in the D.I. Kim Stone series.
