I enjoyed seeing how our girl got her white crystals (kind of??), and seeing what happens to her after order 66. I absolutely love seeing the confusion and turmoil she is in after her whole life was taken from her, and the flash backs to Anakin. Outside of that, I’m not a huge fan of the story. It’s very similar to her time away from the temple in CW S7. She makes a few friends, saves them from the empire, and then realizes she can’t just live in hiding 🙈 she knows she needs to do more. Love Ahsoka but I didn’t get attached to the other characters

           I have always wondered what she was doing between the Clone Wars and Rebels, this answered all of my questions. I wanted to cry multiple times, mostly whenever she thought about Anakin and Obi-wan. So good, I loved that Bail and Leia were in it. Iconic.

The audiobook was fun because it's actually Ahsoka herself reading it 😍 the story felt a little scattered at parts but was overall was a nice fill in to her story between Clone Wars and Rebels

I avoided this one for a while because despite only hearing good things Ahsoka is my fav and I wasn't sure how reading her would go (or listening, really -- I totally recommend Star Wars audiobooks. They go above and beyond!) and I can say I was truly surprised. Easily feels like an arc that could be in the shows and had more depth and characterization for minor players than I would have expected. A lovely installation for Ahsoka stans.

Ahsoka is an excellent read for any Star Wars fan. I didn't find any objectionable content in the story and would have no problem with my middle-grade and almost teenager read it. I had a little trouble following where exactly Ahsoka was as she bounced from planet to planet (moon to moon?), but the story was filled with the usual Star Wars action, which is always fun for us as readers. The story also connects how Ahsoka becomes associated with the Rebel Alliance in its early days.

Oh, if you listen to the story on audiobook, I think you'll enjoy the fact that Ahsoka is read by voice actress Ashley Eckstein, who voices Ahsoka in all of the animated series.

I am so glad this book continues the animation series. It feels like an episode where we get to follow Ahsoka protecting the people that take her in for a while. Instead of running away as soon as the imperial ships arrive, this time Ahsoka joins a group of rebels and helps them survive the oppression.

I think this book is a great read for anyone who is a fan of the Star Wars movies but is most effective if that fan has seen and enjoyed the Clone Wars TV show. This book develops Ahsoka's character outside of what was seen in the TV show and adds on to what happened to her in between the media we already have about her. I really enjoyed the chapters from Obi-Wan and Anakin's perspective as well as Bail Organa. I found this book to be emotional because I was already attached to these characters but do not think it would be overly emotional to people who were not as attached.

We've all wondered what path Ahsoka Tano took after leaving the Jedi Order at the end of the animated Clone Wars series, and now we know! Johnston does a great job showing the conflicts of Ahsoka's decision. Ahsoka wants to help but needs to stay hidden, as she only barely escaped the devastation of Order 66. I especially enjoyed seeing how Ahsoka found her own path to the Rebellion, a hybrid of what she learned as a Padawan and the reality of her survival in the Empire's new world order. Also, BAIL ORGANA! YES. I need so much more Bail Organa.

A great addition to the new canon and a great bridge between the Clone Wars series and Star Wars: Rebels!
