An Amiable Charlatan

'An Amiable Charlatan' by E. Phillips Oppenheim is a departure from the author's usual thriller writings. Set in Edwardian England, the novel follows the English gentleman Paul Walmsley as he falls in love with the American con artist Eve Parker, despite her father's shady dealings. The various plotlines are amusing, with Walmsley aiding Parker in his adventures and scrapes with Scotland Yard and professional criminals.
