Although seemingly invisible at school and home, Emil Simon trudges on in the hopes of finding his place in the world, yet when he finds the master key to Caramoor Academy, sneaks in at night, and falls hard for the daughter of a faculty member who is doing the same, things finally begin to change for the better.
