la couverture est moche mais vrmt horrible que ce soit la version vo que française mais j’ai tellement chialé. je ne sais pas si c’était parce que je m’attendais à rien ou juste pcq c’est trop bien écrit mais c’était trop touchant pour mon petit coeur

So this book was a major disappointment... 

The book follows 2 characters and we get to know how they met. It's divided into 2 parts, part 1 set in 2003 is when they were young and in high school and part 2 is after 16 years later when they meet again.

To be honest I wasn't interested at all in the first half. I didn't care about the characters nor how they fell in love. It was honestly boring and kind of depressing. But in the second half? It was worse.

 Let me tell you why *SPOILERS* 

Eleanor has always liked babysitting since she was 16, so when she grew up, she decided that she's going to be a nanny as her full-time job. Suddenly she loses her current nannying job and gets employed immediately by (yup you guessed it) Greyson. 

Greyson's wife died in an accident 10 months ago and he's still grieving his wife. He meets Eleanor due to his grieve he doesn't acknowledge her at all and just hire without saying a word. Now, you might ask, won't they fall in love again and fix each other blah blah blah? Well, kind of. 

Eleanor is still not over Greyson and still in love with him after 16 YEARS. And here we have Grey who already moved on, fell in love with another woman, got married and had TWO KIDS.

Greyson is still in love with his wife and cant move on. What's worse, he called Eleanor by his dead wife's name. Yep, that's enough I cant rant anymore.

Greyson East ve mně zanechal svoji trvalou stopu. Když jsem se do něho jako mladá dívka poprvé zamilovala, o životě jsem toho moc nevěděla. Ale již brzy jsem věděla vše o jeho úsměvu, hlasitém smíchu i motýlech v břiše, které jsem cítila pokaždé, když mi byl nablízku. Život byl dokonalý… jenže pak se to všechno pokazilo a každý z nás byl nucen jít dál svojí vlastní cestou. Nechala jsem svou první lásku být, držela jsem se vzpomínek a žila jen pro ten den, kdy se znovu shledáme. Když se mé přání konečně splnilo, vůbec to nebylo tak, jak jsem si představovala. Když jsem se rozhodla přijmout práci chůvy, nemohla jsem tušit, že to budou jeho děti, o něž se budu muset starat, a že mým novým šéfem bude právě ten kluk, kterého jsem kdysi znala. Ten kluk, z něhož byl nyní muž – chladný, osamělý, odtažitý muž. Jeho sladký úsměv i nakažlivý smích, jež jsem kdysi tolik milovala, zůstaly už jen vzdálenou vzpomínkou. Potýkal se se silnými pocity smutku a bolesti ze ztráty. Když si uvědomil, kdo jsem, donutil mě ke slibu, že budu dělat jenom svou práci a nic jiného než svou práci. Přinutil mě, abych mu slíbila, že se ho nebudu snažit znovu poznat, že se nepokusím znovuoživit vzpomínky, které jsem si celou tu dobu hýčkala. Ale občas jsem v jeho divokých očích zahlédla toho chlapce, jehož jsem kdysi znávala. Viděla jsem toho Greysona, který se usmíval a hlasitě smál, který ukradl srdce mladé dívce. A ani v nejmenším jsem nepochybovala o tom, že za toho chlapce stojí bojovat. Dostala jsem druhou šanci usilovat o někoho, kdo hluboce poznamenal můj život. Mohla jsem jen doufat, že i já jsem dokázala zanechat stopy na jeho duši.
