Northern Sass

Northern Sass Sassy Ever After

Elianne Adams2018
After twenty years away from the only place she's ever called home, Maple Hudson is back. Too bad it's only for a couple of weeks. With debts piling high, and more responsibilities than she can handle on her own, she's left with no choice but to sell the land, ending her dream of reopening the family business. Two long decades. That's how long it took Jaxon Barnett to accept that Maple, his fated mate, was gone for good. Too young to be claimed, she'd been whisked away, and no amount of searching had brought him any closer to finding her. After an attack leaves the Wassookeag pack devastated, Jaxon resigns himself to finding a suitable mate. That is, until the scent that had haunted him for years sends him racing through the forest, back to the old cabin where fate had played its cruel joke and stolen her from him. Maple was back, and this time, she wouldn't get away.

Maple is under pressure! She hates her job but it pays the bills, especially now that her Uncle has quit paying his half of her grandmothers assisted living complex fees! She has returned to her family cabin for some perspective and to come to terms with the fact that she may just have to sell the land. Her one dream when younger was to run the Sugar Shack, but that seems like a pipe dream now. Jaxon found his mate when they were just too young! But 20 years is a long time to wait. But under pressure from the Pack to find a mate, he is caving to the pressure and going mate scenting. But on his way he gets sidetracked...his mate is back! When a series of calamities lands her into his path, he can't believe his luck. Now to introduce the world of wolves and get her to consent to be his mate...all before she has to leave again! Jaxon was a great mix of sweet, sexy and sneaky! I loved how the pack kept coming up with ways to get them together! Maple should have been too sappy to save herself but she had a core of steel and I loved that family came first with her. I was ready to hate those who put Maple in that predicament but I decided they were a victim themselves of circumstances. Granny was an absolute hoot! I would have liked a wee bit more info as to why Granny knew to keep Maple away from Jaxon when they were young and why she never allowed her back once she was an adult???
