One reason I love Elin Hilderbrand's books are because of the characters. She has a way of immersing you in the story with them, and creating an entire world around you. I really felt like I knew Vicki, Brenda, Melanie, and Josh, and that's what kept me so interested in the book. Her novels are also not my normal "thriller" but the characters and storylines are weaved so beautifully that I couldn't put the book down.

Meh. Didn't finish it. Characters annoyed me tremendously and not in the Ricky Gervais from the 'Office' way.

Reading this book felt like marking the beginning of the summer in a startlingly appropriate way, as this summer feels different from others, and this book is tackling feelings of love and grief and regrets too.
