** spoiler alert ** This was a pretty decent YA Thriller. It kept my attention and although I was a little confused on why everyone was so accepting in the end and some of the intentions confused me, it wasn't bad. I really think it would've been more convincing if more people were involved, but that's just me. I just looked at the title and realized that it tells you it was one of the sisters from the get-go. Quotes: * "A moment came back to me: getting into the family car, Maya calling me affected. I hadn't known what the word meant, but I knew what it felt like..." (32) * " '...we're all in dynamic opposition, the conscious presentation giving the lie to the soul' ... 'Maybe Maya's looking for a little something in her life that's earnest and kind. Something she can scoff at on the outside and be grateful for on the inside' " (247)
