I feel like the quality of this series has gone down with each book. This novel desperately needed an editor to cut at least 100 pages. There were several points throughout where I was just plain bored. Kova also has this habit of writing this one dimensional “not like other girls” FMC that is struggling with some miscommunication she has misunderstood plus a secret that prevents her from getting close to the MMC. It’s getting pretty one-note at this point. The romance was sweet however, and I did actually enjoy the ending even if it was a bit frustrating. I will finish the series as there is only one left but my hopes are not super high.
