I'm on a roll - this is my 3rd new-to-me author this week! I'm loving all these stories from fresh, new authors. Zach was the football quarterback. He may have been from the "wrong side of the tracks" according to Lauren's snooty parents but she loved him like no other. She loved his big, noisy family - they made her feel a part of the family, something she longed to feel with her own parents. They had life mapped out until Lauren and her family up and vanish overnight. Now an elite warrior, something he'd not originally planned to be, Zack has been deployed to protect some well-known romance writer, Leslie Cameron. Except she's not who she claims to be - she's his Lauren! 12 years is a long time to wait to find out what happened to your first love and Zack is demanding answers. But does Leslie/Laurens current problems have anything to do with why she and her family had to go on the run? What a great story. I really loved the pairing of Zack and Leslie. The supporting characters are also really fun, especially Charlotte - she is an absolute hoot. She and Kade were totally down for forcing Zack and Leslie to confront their feelings. I have a feeling poor Kyle is going to steal my heart though! Really happy to have found this new author and I've put books 1 & 2 onto the ever-growing TBR list!
