It is a great book which shows us the life of a young black woman with a child and it’s not often we get to see black representation so it’s good! But I didn’t like the storytelling, it wasn’t the type of book I like to read. Emoni was really judgemental even tho she was always judge so she knows watch’s it’s like. She acts like she doesn’t have anything or deserves anything even tho a lot of peolple are behind her and tries to help her.
Un récit contemporain YA sympathique. Il est utile pour la représentation présent dans le récit, on parle de sujets assez sérieux avec légèreté. Cela reste tout du moins impactant. Cependant le récit reste lent malgré des chapitres très courts. Le début et la fin m'ont vraiment happés mais le reste m'a un peu ennuyé ce qui est dommage. Amateur de cuisine à lire.
